THE TEAM

  • William (Billy) Hafferty

    Licensed Massage Therapist

Billy is a licensed massage therapist and skilled in a wide variety of massage and techniques. He prides himself in staying present and tuning into your body and your specific needs that will have you feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and moving better in your body after each session.

Billy’s passion for healing through touch and unique intuition sets him apart from a regular massage routine. He stumbled upon his passion for massage and bodywork after trying a number of other career paths and an education in mechanical engineering. He studied and became a licensed practitioner through Spirit Wellness Institute in Salem, MA.

In addition to massage, he is also personal trainer and athlete himself. A former football and rugby player turned runner, cyclist, and triathlete, he loves any sort of outdoor activity and also appreciates the recovery and self-care that is imperative for a thriving body. When he is not massaging or coaching, he can usually be found in the mountains somewhere with his dog, Aero.

  • Colter Carlstedt

    Certified Massage Therapist

Colter is a certified massage therapist that has applied himself to many different trades and practices. With experiential awareness of the demands placed on the body he is able to listen to and understand what you might need. Applying not only massage for temporary relief, Colter is proud to work with clients on goals that extend into long term comfort and growth through Swedish massage and deep tissue/myofascial release.

Having a unique prior work experience has led Colter to a special appreciation for bodywork. Cultivating skills gained in the fields of nursing, farming, and engineering he has learned to trust his intuition and discovered, while seemingly disconnected, the underlying theme of care in his work. Through this process he is better able to understand where his clients have been, where they are, and where they would like to be.

In his free time you'll probably find Colter bike packing, playing pool, or behind a camera.

  • Owen Merritt

    Intern Massage Therapist

Owen has more body working experience than meets the eye, though he hasn’t officially graduated from school or completed his training hours in the State of Vermont yet, he gives a superb massage and listens to what your body needs on a physical and somatic level.

From a young age, he knew he wanted to be a manual therapist. He graduated from Western Washington University with a B.S. in Kinesiology, where he studied human movement, performance, and function, as well as somatic psychology. From there, he spent some years working as a personal trainer and bodyworker while enjoying the mountains in the town of Silverton, Colorado. In August, he came out to Vermont to continue training, and he is so excited to grow and learn for years to come. When not in school or doing massage, Owen spends his time trail running, cooking, making pottery and finding food in the woods.
